How they work
- Select your programme either manually on the unit or via the Wizard app.
- Ambient air is drawn into the ozone generator.
- The unit converts the oxygen into ozone and releases it into the room. Ozone is produced from an electrical discharge, known as a spark. The spark splits the oxygen molecule (O2) found in ambient air into elemental oxygen. These oxygen atoms quickly bond with another oxygen molecule (O2) to form ozone (O3).
- Both units have a real time ozone detector which measures the ozone concentration released to ensure it is at the level required to disinfect.
- The ozone penetrates the entire space – every surface and every nook and cranny.
- Once the concentration, measured in Parts per Million (PPMs), has been reached for the required length of time to eliminate all pathogens, the units reverse the cycle.
- A carbon filter speeds up the decomposition of the ozone – breaking down the larger particles. This enables quicker access to the disinfected area.
- The app alerts the user that the room is safe to enter.
